Tervetuloa Mikugeimeihin!
Mikugames on suomalais-ruotsalainen lautapelien kehittäjä, jonka toimipaikka on Tukholma. Vuodesta 2003 lähtien mikugeimit on työskennellyt erittäin laajan sotapelitrilogian kanssa, joka ajoittuu suomen taisteluihin toisen maailmansodan aikana ja on nimeltään The Finnish Trilogy 1939-1945®. Trilogian osat ovat: 1. Talvisota 1939-1940, 2. Jatkosota 1941-1944, 3. Lapin sota 1944-1945. Jos haluat lukea enemmän näistä peleistä ja trilogiasta yleensä, niin käytä valikkoa vasemmalla tai painamalla päällikansien kuviin alhaalla.

All nationalities have now a background image. Two more air units and naval units have recieved a silhouette. There are still ca 6 air units and 10 naval units to fix. For the remaining days in Janauary, the focus is on the OOBs. In February it is on the mapboards and charts. In March, the remaining rules.

Tarvitsen vähintään 450 maksettua ennakkotilausta jokaiseen osaan/peliin, ennen kuin voin aloittaa painamisen! PayPal-sivu liitetään mukaan vasta sitten kun saavumme lopulliseen tuotantovaiheeseen, joka todennäköisesti on helmikuussa 2012.

All countersheets (final testversion) have now been checked and posted in the Beta-News menu. The only things that still need to be done, are background images for some nationalities, and silhouettes for certain air and naval units. My next project is to finish all OOBs, which will take 3-4 weeks. I will post a couple of samples from each volume within 1-2 weeks.

I'm currently matching the Countersheets with the OOBs, so that no units have been left out. All countersheets (final testversion) will be posted this weekend.

Hello everyone,
Here is a status report on The Finnish Trilogy 1939-1945.
I divide the game project in six main categories:
(1) Unit counters, (2) Countersheets, (3) Mapboards, (4) OOBs, (5) Rules (all), and (6) Other (charts, game box, dice, a.o).
Below refers to all the three volumes in the trilogy, since they are made simultaneously.
(1) Units:
All unit counters (units) are finished, except that silhouettes are still missing on some air and naval units. Some background images for certain countries are also missing at this point. This has a low priority and will be fixed at the end. Estimated working time left is 1 week. The problem is more of finding the proper pictures of the air and naval units from where to make the silhouettes.
(2) Countersheets:
All countersheets will be finished within a week or two, thereafter I will do a final crosscheck with the OOBs that no units have been forgotten. I will post all countersheets on my website at the end of October.
(3) Mapboards:
The two mapboards will need more work, such as additional holding boxes and terrain features. All hexes need to be checked to remove any terrain uncertainties. Estimated time to fix all of this is 2-3 weeks.
(4) OOBs:
The OOBs still require a lot of attention. I’m doing a major improvement on the design and structure. All actions will take 4-5 weeks. I will post a few samples on my website in mid November.
(5) Rules:
The rules (both the master rules manual and the rules booklets) are not finished. Some new rules need testing. The naval rules have not been properly tested. More testing are needed to get an idea of the play balance in the various scenarios and the main campaigns. Finally, everything needs 1-2 proof readings. All of this will take 5+ weeks.
(6) Other:
Charts and tables need only ca 1 week of work. Updates are needed to match the latest rules and features. The game boxes have their frontsides finished (as they have been for a while), but the backsides need some work (text and pictures). This will take one additional week.
This means unfortunately, that no games will be completely finished this year. My focus is to have all unit counters, countersheets and mapboards finished by Christmas, and the rest during February-March. Printing starts thereafter.
Sorry for all these delays, but I promise that I’m working as much I currently can.
